Holmes Supply, in collaboration with NOWWA, is excited to announce that we are offering PDHs. This training will cover topics that all Onsite Waste Water Professionals will find helpful in their industry. The agenda is as follows:

 

9:00-10:00  A.M.                   Intro to Title 124: tanks, pumps, and advanced treatment - Dana Peterson, Frontwater Engineering - Dana will provide an overview of the Title 124 Regulations regarding septic tanks, pump basins & tanks, pumps, and advanced treatment. This session lays the groundwork for future sessions.

10:00-10:15 A.M                    Break

 

10:15-11:15 A.M.                   Thermoplastic Tank Installation – Rick Kirkpatrick, Infiltrator- Rick will discuss the installation of Thermoplastic Tanks as well as what they are.

11:15-12:15 P.M.                    Pump Sizing & Troubleshooting- Daniel Buttermore, Mack McClain & Associates, Inc. - Overview of pump sizing, application, and troubleshooting of septic and grinder pumps.

12:15-1:15  P.M.                    Lunch (On your own)

 

1:15-2:15    P.M.                    High Strength / Commercial Wastewater Characteristics-Daniel Westrich, Biomicrobics-Discussion of the characteristics of High Strength and Commercial Wastewater compared to typical wastewater

2:15-2:30   P.M.                    Break

 

2:30-4:30   P.M.                   Importance of OWTS Inspections- Kim Sepp, High Plains Sanitation Services and NAWT

Traditional systems and alternative systems both need to be inspected, but inspections need to be done not only because of the type of system, but also because of how they are being used. Kim will explain the importance of OWTS inspections and why they should not be overlooked.
